Welcome to Relaxed Spider
Here are the details for this mode. The game still uses 104 cards in ten columns. Choose one suit, two suits or four suits using the game controls. Relaxed Spider on pctj120.com permits stock deals while columns are empty. The objective remains eight complete same-suit King-to-Ace runs.
The relaxed difference
Keep these points in mind. The relaxed stock rule does not allow mixed-suit groups to move together. The relaxed stock rule does not change the rank requirement for ordinary moves. An empty column no longer prevents a stock deal in this variant. A stock card dealt to an empty column becomes that column's first face-up card.
Ten columns and a stock
Keep these points in mind. Only the bottom card of each opening column is face up. The opening tableau contains 54 cards. The stock contains fifty cards for five later deals. The first four columns have six cards each and the remaining six have five.
Move a single card
Keep these points in mind. An exposed card may land on another exposed card exactly one rank higher. The two cards do not need to share a suit for a single-card placement. A King needs an empty destination because no rank is higher. An Ace cannot receive a lower-ranked card.
Follow one suit
Here are the details for this mode. A suit change can leave a smaller movable group at the bottom of a column. A break in rank prevents the entire selected group from moving together. A descending group moves as a unit only when every selected card shares a suit. Same-suit building can reduce the work needed to separate mixed sequences later.
Keep space available
A new stock row fills every empty column with one card. Any exposed card or legal same-suit group can occupy an empty column. You may preserve an empty column until you decide to deal from the stock. Empty columns remain useful for separating temporary mixed builds.
Stock deals are still shared
The following details apply here. You cannot direct an individual stock card to a chosen destination. Dealing can block an existing sequence as well as reveal new combinations. A stock deal places one card onto each of the ten columns. Undo restores the previous arrangement when the stock-deal snapshot is available.
Clear the table
The following details apply here. Eight collected runs are required to finish Relaxed Spider. The game removes a complete run automatically at the bottom of a column. Changing the number of suits does not change the number of required runs. A complete run contains thirteen face-up cards in one suit from King to Ace.
Practice the variant
Replay restores the same shuffle for another attempt. Hints identify legal options without guaranteeing a win. Random relaxed deals are not presented as guaranteed solvable. New game creates a fresh shuffle in the selected suit setting.
